Adventure Hunts, Flying Toys, and Snuggles - Oh My!

Still no word on any farms.  Man, those places sound awesome!  I'll keep my paws crossed that y'all hear of one with some sweet verticals for me...

In the meantime, I've been diggin' these Adventure Hunts with Anna and GV!  

Adventure Hunts are good for the soul!

I'm a real good digger.  Y'all just let me know if you need to bury or hide something, and I'll get the ground ready for you lickety split!  I'm real good at finding things under ground using my sniffer, too. I haven't told GV what I'm finding, though; I think I'll keep that one under my hat for now.

At first, I wasn't real sure what GV was doing when she held toys and balls in the air and then made them fly away from us.  But now that I know they aren't flying straight for me, it's real fun to chase after them!!  I've also figured out that if I bring it back and drop it near GV, she'll make it fly again.  This is so much fun; I wish I had learned about flying toys sooner!!

Back at the new box, GV, Anna, and I have been hanging out a lot.  It's not scary here at all, actually.  If you come over, I'll show you the comfy (the medium ground) and the cool (the white ground) places to sit.

I also think that lil girl, Anna, is fallin' for me a lil bit.  Shoot, I am a handsome gentleman!  I jumped up on the medium ground behind the door with Anna and GV a few times, and we all snuggled.  It was real nice.  GV caught a photograph and a moving picture of Anna giving me smooches.

GV and I have become real good friends this past week. We have gone to my favorite fun place a lot and on a few adventure hunts.  At the box, we hang out at night and watch the moving pictures together with Anna and the small dogs. Sometimes I like to lay on my bed and listen, but other times I will watch from the medium ground with everyone.

Boy vertical comes home tonight, so it will be nice to hang out with him again.  Maybe we can become real good friends, too??

I'm gonna head out now and eat some chow.  Catch y'all on the flip side...

I Heart Running

I left y'all with a lil cliffhanger last time, but we got things squared away over here at the new box.  Anna let me play with Sharky, and I didn't even hurt him at all. 

Anna is getting better about her stuff in general, though, but I like to think I helped out a lil bit!

We went to my favorite fun place, as usual, and girl vertical caught another moving picture of us running.  (A moving picture of Anna trying to catch me, that is...)

Aw, shoot, I know I'm fast, but I wasn't even trying here!  Just wait 'til girl vertical shows you one of my famous "gazelle leaps" -- I'm told I am quite the sight.  ;)

I have decided that I hope I get to live in a box on a farm one day.  I realllllly like to be outside.  I catch myself smiling sometimes, and I just sniff at the air in sheer bliss.  Girl vertical told me about farms, and I think that sounds like the best idea a vertical has ever had!!!

Y'all know anyone with a farm and some real sweet verticals for me?

These Paws are Made for Walkin'

Aw, man, I hate to brag, but I got three walks today!  Girl vertical even took Anna and me on a jog this evening.  It was pretty fun, but you don't get to take as many smells that way.  I enjoy the smells.  But girl vertical stops for us to use our sniffers every once in a while.   I'm a lucky dog, I tell ya...  This is how I feel about walks and the park:

I gotta say...  I used to get upset about Anna barking me away from her toys.  But maybe that lil girl had a point after all...  Before I knew it, I had destroyed two of her favorite toys this morning!! And lil white clouds covered the yard behind the box.  

Shoot, Anna.  I'm sorry, girl...  I don't know what got into me.  

I hope girl vertical helps us work this out and we can still be friends.  After you let me use your bed and everything...

Sir Toby Sloughi

The verticals went off to some "Fort Worth" place for a "TxABA conference" this past weekend and took the FM machines with them.  

I don't know what all that means, but Anna and I got to play with my good friends at Polka Dot Dogs!  When I saw the girl verticals waiting for me there, I couldn't stop my tail from a'waggin'!  They said they checked out my moving picture and gave me lots of lovin'.  Whew, boy, I missed those verticals...

Anna and I stayed with the pack almost all weekend, and, man, I am whipped!!  The verticals took us to see that Millie Bush lady again when they picked us up, and we did the circuit once.  But all we saw were dogs, and we just wanted to go home, eat some dinner, and chill in the box...

My shy side must be showin' again, because I just don't know what to tell y'all today.  It's been so long since I've gotten my turn on the FM machine...

Last time I told y'all about our trip to that rockin' joint: The Boneyard.  I sure hope the verticals take us back for another event one day!

Some awesome verticals there told my verticals about some Sloughi dogs from North Africa that look like me.  Girl vertical and I checked it out on the FM machine, and by golly, I think they might be right!! They are wrong about a few things, though...except the part about lovin' the freedom for running.  I do LOOOOVE the dog park!!!  I am always super calm indoors, though, and would not hurt girl vertical's small dogs in my wildest dreams. My verticals take Anna and me to the dog park once a day (or twice, if we are lucky), or we go on a walk twice a day. That's just fine by me.  Just say the "walk" word, and I'm ready to roll!!
 
Ever since we figured out about my ancestors, girl vertical has been calling me Sir Toby Sloughi.  She's so weird...  I like her, though, and I'm happy when she comes home from work.  I meet her at the gate and wag my tail to let her know.  She always says I'm the cutest boy dog she's ever seen.  Aw, shucks!!!

Here's some of the stuff I've learned recently, so y'all don't have to figure it all out for yourselves:

First, I've figured out that the medium ground is a safe place to chill during the day.

I've also figured out that I can get girl vertical to pay attention to me and not the FM machine for a bit if I just go say hi.

But most importantly, I have figured out that the medium ground behind the door is super comfy next to Anna. I won't let girl vertical take my picture in there, though.  But she says I'm gosh darn cute!!!

Anna and I have figured out a new game, too, so I'll leave y'all with another moving picture of us.
